Quilts are made for premature babies in the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) at UW Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, Evergreen Hospital, Swedish Hospital, and Swedish Issaquah Campus. 793 preemie quilts were delivered in 2024. Flannel burp cloths were also provided. The Preemie Project is QA’s longest running charity project, providing more than 25,500 preemie quilts since 1986. |
Quilts are made to provide comfort to elderly persons residing in Seattle area nursing homes. 241 quilts were delivered to 14 nursing homes in 2024. Since 2007, more than 3,630 quilts have been provided. |
Quilts and other gifts of comfort are made for patients of Evergreen Hospice. 82 quilts, 106 catheter bag covers, and 53 pairs of fleece mittens were delivered in 2024. Since 2007, more than 1,250 quilts, 1,400 catheter bag covers and 540 pairs of fleece mittens have been provided. |
Baby quilts are made for military families at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where they are delivered to the New Parent Support Center and Fisher House. 80 baby quilts were delivered in 2024. Since 2006, more than 1,320 baby quilts have been provided. |
Christmas stockings are made for Atlantic Street Center, helping to bring holiday cheer to children in our community. 1,865 Christmas stockings were delivered in 2024. Since 2001, more than 29,700 Christmas stockings have been provided. |
Pillowcases are made for military families at Fisher House, Joint Base Lewis-McChord at Madigan Army Medical Center. Fisher House provides comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. 162 pillowcases were delivered in 2024. Since the start of this project, more than 3,650 pillowcases have been provided. |
